2016 Camry Research and Review
Coming into the new model year, the 2016 Toyota Camry receives a few modifications. A new Special Edition model has joined the lineup for 2016 and SE, XSE and Special Edition models now come with a sport-tuned suspension. In addition, Entune Audio gains a new feature and Qi wireless charging is available for compatible phones. The Camry Hybrid model has also returned to the lineup for another year, offering first-class fuel efficiency that's hard to beat. The most notable change made to the 2016 Toyota Camry in Sanford is the addition of the new Special Edition model. Available in two paint colors, Blue Streak Metallic and Blizzard Pearl, the Camry Special Edition features 18-inch alloy wheels with gloss black-painted accents, a smoked taillight treatment, a moonroof, blue contrast stitching inside the cabin and unique floor mats. It also sports Qi wireless charging, a Smart Key System and Entune Audio Plus, which offers cellphone navigation with the new Connected Navigation Scout GPS Link App.
The 2016 Toyota Camry in Sanford comes standard with a 2.5L four-cylinder, delivering 178 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque. For Orlando-area Camry shoppers who'd like to access additional power, XSE and XLE trims are also offered with a 3.5L V6, generating 268 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque. All V6 models produce an EPA-estimated 25 mpg combined, 21 city and 31 highway, while the four-cylinder models output an EPA-estimated 28 mpg combined, 25 city and 35 highway. The Camry Hybrid produces a top-of-the-line 43 mpg city and exerts 200 horsepower combined through the use of a 2.5L Atkinson cycle four-cylinder, Hybrid Synergy Drive and a high-torque electric motor.
