What's New for the 2020 Toyota Supra?

In any year, the Toyota Supra is a dazzling, head-turning sports car. But in 2020, it gets even better than ever. As critics simply say, the Supra "is back" in the latest model year. It is classified as a sports car, but to fans (and Toyota) it is much more. The Supra has an impressive amount of power under the hood. But it is also elegant and graceful with a striking appearance crafted by a bubble top, a wide grille, and LED lights. The latest Supra, as critics say, is quickly defining the current generation of performance. With nearly a dozen exterior colors to choose from and many options for a custom finish, you have many unique ways of finishing the Supra.

Which Features are Available for 2020?

There are three trim levels of the Supra this year. They are the 3.0, the 3.0 Premium, and the Launch Edition. The base trim offers a number of features, including an infotainment display screen, sporty seats, and more. The mid-level trim, which is the Premium, adds even more with a larger 8.8-inch infotainment display screen, a 12-speaker sound system made by JBL, and support for Apple CarPlay. A head-up display makes for safer drives without losing the ability to use the infotainment system.

The mid-level Supra also gets heated leather seats. It is available in several standard paint colors and some premium paint colors that you'd need to pay extra for. Topping the line is the Launch Edition, which celebrates the fact that the Supra is back in production after a lengthy hiatus. The Launch Edition is also only available in limited quantities. It is also produced in unique colors and finished with matte-black wheels, red mirror caps, and interior badging.

A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency

2020 Toyota SupraThe Supra is powered by one engine, which is a 3.0L with a V6 capacity. This engine, which is turbo-charged to deliver optimal power, gives drivers optimal power and control. The engine has been moved farther back in the car for 2020 and lowered to give the car a better center of gravity. At most, the engine produces 335 HP and 365 LB-FT of torque. It reaches a top speed of 155 and can accelerate from 0-60 in just 4.1 seconds. All Supra trims come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. An adaptive suspension system, rigid chassis, and fortified sport tires complete the Supra's impressive power and handling system.

Affordability and Packed with Safety Features Galore

2020 Toyota SupraWhile there has clearly been a focus on aesthetics and performance with the Supra, safety has not been neglected. The number of standard safety features you get with each trim level varies. Automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and lane departure warning are standard on all three trim levels. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and other amenities are available through a Driver Assistance Package. The Supra has a number of passive safety features as well that are designed to keep occupants safe in a crash. The 2020 Supra has not yet been tested in government crash test ratings, but it is expected to perform well.
